We are pleased to highlight some of the firm’s recent capability- and connection-enhancing efforts.
During Q2, we added lateral partners in our Consumer Financial Services, State AG, and White Collar + Government Investigations practices. We also welcomed our summer associates on May 22 for a program that runs through July 21 and emphasizes work product and performance, provides practice group guidance, and offers social opportunities to meet our attorneys and other team members.
There is much happening throughout the firm and your alumni network. Read more about it in this newsletter. And, as always, stay in touch and keep connected.
Summer is here, bringing with it a host of good things! Our summer associates have arrived, and we are excited to have 99 summers resident in 19 of our offices. Troutman Pepper organized a firmwide Week of Service for June in which volunteer activities were planned for all Troutman employees. It was a great opportunity to serve our communities and spend time with colleagues. We hope you are ramping up for a great summer that includes spending time with family and friends.
Please enjoy the June issue of our Alumni newsletter, which features an interview with Troutman Pepper alumni Sabrina Fitze, Associate General Counsel at Habitat for Humanity International; a list of upcoming Alumni Reception dates; and a look at our 2023 Summer Associate Program, Week of Service activities, and free CLE offerings from PLI.
We caught up with Sabrina to learn more about her role at Habitat for Humanity International and how the skills she gained from her time at the firm continue to strengthen her practice. Read her Q&A.
The Troutman Pepper Summer Associate Program is hosting 99 students (comprised of 24 1L’s and 75 2L’s) from 41 different law schools. The summer associates are working across 19 of our offices, meeting in person locally and receiving virtual firmwide training sessions. The program runs from May 22 – July 21, 2023. We are excited to welcome this incredibly talented and diverse group of law school students to Troutman Pepper!
We are proud to highlight the success of Troutman Pepper’s 2023 Week of Service. Throughout the week of June 5 – 9, attorneys and staff members across all 23 offices rolled up their sleeves to serve more than 60 charitable organizations. A group of our remote workers also teamed up in Tampa to serve. All together, we had 750 participants complete 80+ projects during the week. Many thanks to our office administrators and team captains for coordinating these projects. Be sure to use #troutmanpepperserves to view photos from various Week of Service projects.
Recognized officially in the United States since 1999, Pride Month commemorates the spontaneous Stonewall Uprising that occurred in response to a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a popular gay bar in NYC, on June 28, 1969. The Stonewall Uprising represents the activism and rebellion of LGBTQ+ people against violence and bigotry, and today Pride Month is recognized as a celebration of love, allyship, and inclusion.
Happy Pride Month! Feel free to share your celebration stories and photos with us.
