Merger Vaults Firm to No. 49 in The American Lawyer’s Annual Rankings

NEW YORK – Troutman Pepper now ranks among the top 50 law firms in the United States, according to the 2021 Am Law 100 report published by The American Lawyer. The firm is 49th on the annual list that ranks America’s top revenue-grossing law firms.
The firm’s dramatic rise in the rankings is attributed to last year’s merger between Troutman Sanders and Pepper Hamilton. Troutman Pepper now has more than 1,200 attorneys in 23 U.S. cities, strategically aligned to best cater to its diverse client base.
In addition to the expanded geographical reach, the combined firm offers clients greater resources and bench strength, enhanced practices, and dedicated teams for client care and innovation. Notably, the legacy firms had complementary practices including recognized expertise in energy, banking, finance, insurance, health care, life sciences, and private equity, among other key areas.
